Pakistan Kisan Ittehad

Pakistan Kisan Ittehad is not a planned association of farmers. It was a small movement and in a few months it became the largest farmers’ association in Pakistan. Now it is the voice of millions of small farmers and villagers. 75% of the total population of our country is dependent on agriculture. Agriculture is the backbone of the country. Production is declining day by day due to the negligence of the government.

There is no precedent in the history of Pakistan for small farmers to show unity and achieve their demand. The first step was to subsidize agricultural tube wells. This issue was raised due to heavy taxes like sales tax, MDI fix charges, FPA on electricity bills. The farmers decided to stop paying the bill. It takes 1 year to resolve this issue, we have held many protests, sit-ins, long marches with millions of members.
